• Teacher charged with kicking 2-year-old at day care

    CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. - Police said they’ve arrested a 22-year-old teacher on a battery charge involving a student.

    According to Clayton County police, Alexis J. Wilson-Britten of Jonesboro was arrested Friday at 5 p.m. on a charge of simple battery.

    She is accused of kicking a 2-year-old  child in an attempt to push the child away.

    Wilson-Britten is a teacher at the a day care located at 1357 Lakeridge Parkway in Riverdale.

    Surveillance footage from inside her classroom at the school revealed footage consistent with the accusation, police said.

    Police said they are still investigating the case.
