Student arrested after bringing gun on first day of school, police say

A Lithia Springs High School student was arrested after police said he brought a gun on the first day of school.
Douglas County sheriff’s officials said a school resource officer received an anonymous tip about a gun on campus at about 12 p.m.
The student, Joshua Colson, 17, was found on campus with a handgun and ammunition. He was arrested, sheriff's officials said.
The school was never on lockdown during the incident.
