SOUTH FULTON, Ga. - A child held hostage in a South Fulton home has been released and is back with his mother.
Police were called to a home along Twin Lakes Drive just before noon Tuesday after investigators said a husband and wife got into a fight.

While investigators were speaking with the wife, they said the man took the child and barricaded himself inside the house.
Police said he also like the child in an upstairs bedroom.

That’s when police called in the SWAT team.
Channel 2 investigative reporter Nicole Carr got to the scene around 2 p.m. as the hostage negotiators worked with the man to bring a peaceful end to the situation.
Carr watched as the man eventually surrendered to police nearly three hours later. Video from the moment he surrendered showed the man walk out of the home without a shirt on and then was loaded into the back of a police cruiser.
Neighbors told Carr that they were happy things came to a peaceful end. Police said the husband is facing a long list of charges.
Police have not released what those charges are or the man’s identity.
Officers said the child was unharmed.
