• 2 men sought in Smyrna kidnapping, rape

SMYRNA, Ga.,None - Smyrna police are searching for two men who raped and kidnapped a Marietta woman.

The incident happened Jan. 17 around 8 p.m. But the investigation is just now progressing as the victim recently helped authorities sketch a drawing of the two men she said snatched her off a busy road, reported Channel 2's Ross Cavitt.

Police said the woman, who is in her 30's, was walking on Windy Hill Road near South Cobb Drive when she was forced at gunpoint into a 1990s model gold Chevrolet Caprice.

The men held the woman for two days, during which time they beat and sexually assaulted her before dropping the victim off at an unknown location, police said.

Police have released sketches of the men and are hoping the public can help identify them. Anyone with information is asked to call Smyrna police detectives at 770-434-9481.
