• North Fulton Co. high school alerts parents to shooting threat

ROSWELL, Ga.,None - Extra police have been assigned to a Roswell high school after a school shooting threat.

Someone scrawled a message on a bathroom wall  at Centennial High School saying there would be a shooting on Thursday. It’s the second threatening message left on a bathroom wall since December.

“RIP CHS kids 2/16/12. There will be a shootout. This is for real,” the message said.

After hearing about the threat, some mothers decided to keep their children home for the day.

“It’s sad. I’m sad my kids are having this experience,” Linda Saether said about keeping her freshman and senior at home.

Students on Wednesday had a mixed reaction to the threat. Some took it seriously, but others said it is just the work of a prankster.

The school principal sent out a recorded message alerting parents to the threat.
