Reward offered for tips in Peachtree City church burglary

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga.,None — The Peachtree City Police Department is offering a reward for up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who burgalrized and damaged property at a local church.

The break-in happened Feb. 19 at the Peachtree City First Baptist Church at 208 Willow Bend Road. A preliminary investigation found that various audio visual equipment and related items had been removed from the church.

Police said a suspicious male was seen in the area days before the incident occurred. He is described as 6-feet, 4-inches-tall with a heavy set build, approximately 260 pounds.  The male reportedly had a shaved head at the time and was wearing a grey “hoodie-style sweatshirt” and blue jeans.
