• Rape reported at DeKalb high school

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - DeKalb County school district officials are investigating a rape report at a county high school.

School leaders declined to reveal details but told Channel 2's Erica Byfield the alleged rape happened at Martin Luther King Jr. High School in Lithonia on Monday. Investigators spent the next day interviewing students.

Authorities believe one girl and several male students were involved in the incident.

A viewer tipped Channel 2 Action News off to the rape investigation, saying school leaders sent a letter to teachers. Channel 2 has requested a copy of the letter.
