ATLANTA — Metro Atlanta could see some strong storms Wednesday night. The eastern part of north Georgia is under a Level 1 threat for severe weather.
Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brad Nitz said storms in Alabama will move into east Georgia over the course of the evening. Nitz says the storms will weaken as they move east of Atlanta into stable air.

Temperatures were around 15 degrees cooler than average Wednesday with highs only in the low 70s.
