MARIETTA, Ga. - The Marietta Police Department is warning women that a rapist is posing as a taxi driver.

Authorities said a woman was offered a ride by a man driving an older model white Ford Crown Victoria with an unknown taxi company logo behind a Walmart on Lake Drive on Dec. 5. The driver then flashed a gun and forced the woman into the back seat of the car where he sexually attacked her.

The victim was allowed to leave the vehicle after the assault and the man was last seen traveling towards the South Marietta Parkway.

The man was described as 6 feet 2 inches tall and is about 40-45 years old. He had a teardrop tattoo by his left eye and a scar over his right eye. He also has a tattoo of a bird on one arm.

If you recognize the man in the sketch, you're asked to call police at 770-794-6990.
