• Police truck lands on top of stolen car

    GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga.,None - An officer trying to catch people in a stolen car wound up in a ditch on top of them.

     

    Gwinnett County police said the officer approached the suspected car thieves at a gas station on Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth just before 1 a.m. Saturday.

     

    The people inside the vehicle tried to drive away, but instead went over an embankment, police said.

     

    The car flipped, and during the pursuit, a police truck went over the embankment and landed on top of the car.

     

    Police said no one was seriously injured.

     

    There was no word on charges.
