• Police: Thieves steal car with child inside

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - DeKalb County Police located a child who was taken when thieves stole a car on Monday night.

Police say 6-year-old Elias Selph was inside a 2008 Honda Accord when someone stole it from a home on Glen Hollow Drive in Decatur at about 8 p.m.

Police said the boys parent left the child in the car with the keys in the ignition to quickly run into the house. When the child's parent returned the boy and the car were gone.

Elias, who is autistic, was discovered about three hours later. It's still unclear who took the vehicle or if they knew the child was in the car.
