• Missing minister found safe in Tifton


    HENRY COUNTY, Ga. - Channel 2 Action News has confirmed that police have located Dr. Henry Thomas Blackaby, 78.

    The well-known minister had disappeared from his home on Thursday.

    Investigators said Blackaby was located at a conviencence store in Tifton.

    Police issued a Mattie's call because they are concerned about a Blackaby's medical condition.

    Blackaby is the founder of Blackaby Ministries International in Jonesboro.

    One the church's Facebook page his family released a statement saying "We wish to express to everyone our appreciation and gratitude for the prayers and concern over the last 29 hours. Henry has taught us that we can experience God in the good and the bad times."

    Blackaby and his wife Marilynn served in churches in Claifornia and Canada and is the author of several books, according to the ministry.
