Suspect caught after multi-county chase

DUNWOODY, Ga. — Police tell Channel 2 Action News that an attempt to stop car break-in suspects ended up with a multi-county chase.

Gwinnett County police said they were called to stop a car near Peachtree Industrial Blvd. and Reps Miller Rd. after FBI agents has witnessed people in the vehicle breaking into cars nearby.

Investigators said that when the car took off, leading officers on a chase through parts of Gwinnett, Cobb and DeKalb counties.

The chase ended just before noon in an office park in Dunwoody near Ashford-Dunwoody Road and Interstate 285.

A viewer sent Channel 2 Action News a picture from a nearby office building showing police taking one person into custody.

The remaining suspect was caught in Brookhaven just after 6 p.m.

The driver of the suspect vehicle will be transported back to Gwinnett County to face charges in this case.
