Police search for culprit in Lithonia double shooting

LITHONIA, Ga. — Residents of a Lithonia neighborhood were awakened by gunshots late Monday night.

DeKalb County police said a man and a woman were shot in or just outside a home on Drake Court off of Panola Road just before midnight.

Police blocked off the cul-de-sac near the home while investigators went door-to-door talking to everyone they could to try to learn more about the shooting.

The victims were rushed to the hospital. Their conditions are not known.

Police used a K-9 to help look for clues, but they have not yet identified a suspect.
