    Updated:

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. - Clayton Co police were involved in a high-speed chase over the noon hour which, according to a police spokesman, reached speeds of up to 110 mph.

Police say it began with an accident involving the suspect vehicle. Police say the car, a tan Lincoln Town Car, was involved in an accident at Old Dixie Highway and Interstate 75.

Police say the car left that scene and they followed it north on I-75 from Clayton County into the city of Atlanta.    The car, which police say was driven by an "older-age black male," has South Carolina plates. It exited the interstate near University Avenue in Atlanta. Police lost sight of it at that point.

Clayton County  and Atlanta police are looking for the car.
