UPDATE: Missing elderly man from Gwinnett found safe in Troup County

LOGANVILLE, Ga. — UPDATE: Gwinnett County police said just after 4 p.m. Wednesday that Ransford Reid was located in Troup County, Georgia. He is waiting to be reunited with his family at this time.

The Gwinnett County Police Department needs help finding a missing elderly Loganville man who has a diminished mental capacity and medical conditions.

Ransford Reid, 83, was last seen at his home on Gardenside Drive in unincorporated Loganville at around 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31.

He left the home in his grey Jeep Grand Cherokee and did not say where he was going. The license plate number is PJB6713.

Reid was last seen wearing a cream-colored flannel shirt with blue stripes and blue jeans. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 185 lbs.

Ransford’s wife contacted police early Wednesday stating that she found a bank transaction at a gas station in Palmetto, GA. There was no timeframe for when this transaction took place.

Anyone who finds Reid should call Gwinnett police.
