COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Police are investigating a double homicide in Cobb County.
Officers say neighbors reported hearing gunshots in the area off Camden Lake Drive just before 7 p.m. When police arrived on scene they found two people dead from gunshot wounds.
"They were coming with the big guns, and they were running down and yelled at us to get inside," neighbor Courtney Wooley said.
Police say one woman and a man are dead, and they believe person who shot them is a relative.
"When officers arrived they located a male in the front yard of the 5351 Camden Lake Drive address, at which point they took him into custody," Alicia Chilton with Cobb County police said.
According to police the suspect was not armed when they arrested him.
Police are questioning the suspect, but haven't charged him yet.
Investigators say they are treating this as a domestic double homicide, while they wait for a judge to grant a search warrant.
