Driver involved in fatal Cobb hit-and-run turns himself in

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Channel 2 Action News has learned the man police said was involved in a fatal hit-and-run wreck Saturday, has turned himself in to police.

Danny Mondor has been charged with improper lane change, felony hit-and-run, and felony first degree vehicular homicide.

Marietta police said they located the RV Mondor was said to be driving in Cape Coral, Fla. where it was impounded.

Mondor turned himself in at the Cobb County Jail late Tuesday afternoon, according to his attorney Scott Semrau.

The accident occurred on I-75 at Delk Road Saturday afternoon when the RV hit the rear panel of a Toyota Camry, which then struck a Toyota Prius.

The passenger of the Prius, identified as Bradley Braland, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The female driver of the Prius suffered minor injuries and was transported to Kennestone Hospital. A 4-year-old boy in the back seat of the Prius was not hurt.
