Police: Atlanta officers involved in overnight shootout

ATLANTA — Atlanta police officers are OK after becoming involved in an overnight gunfight.

Police said two groups of people were involved in a shootout on Parkway Drive near Ponce de Leon Avenue and when officers arrived, they also exchanged gunfire.

No one was hit, but Channel 2's Ryan Young said there were at least 68 marked shell casings at the scene.

Nearby homes and businesses were damaged by the barrage of gunfire.

Police said two people are in custody.
