Police arrest two of Gwinnett County's most wanted

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Two of Gwinnett County's most wanted men are behind bars. Rodnie Stokes and Alejando Javier Valasquez were found hiding in different attics.

Stokes was wanted for felony probation for aggravated assault.

Valasquez is an alleged gang member accused of shooting another man in the head and disfiguring him last November. Since then investigators have been hunting for him, calling him very dangerous.

He was found on Wednesday afternoon.

Channel 2 Action News was in court when Valasquez appeared Friday.

A judge ordered Velasquez held without bond.

Neighbors next to the home where Velasquez was captured told Channel 2's partner station, Telemundo, they had not noticed anything unusual at the home until authorities raided it.

With these latest arrests, 16 out of 42 of Gwinnett County's most wanted are in custody.
