• Man hit by pickup, dragged by semi

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga.,None - A pedestrian was killed in a crash involving two trucks in Doraville during Friday morning rush hour.

Channel 2’s Sophia Choi went to Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, where the crash happened shortly before 5:30 a.m. The road was shut down for more than three hours while police were investigating.

Doraville police said the pedestrian was struck by a pick-up truck in the northbound lanes of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard near the Interstate 285 ramp. Then, the man was dragged by semitruck and hit by another car, police said.

Officers said they didn’t know why the man was walking on the busy road, but the drivers involved were cooperating.

Northbound traffic was being diverted to I-285 west because of the road closure. Channel 2’s Mark Arum suggested using Buford Highway as an alternate route.
