Pedestrian killed on I-85 in Gwinnett Co.

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A pedestrian was hit and killed on Interstate 85 Friday morning.

Gwinnett County police said the victim was Briahna Baker. Police said she was initially a passenger, but got out of the vehicle after getting into an argument with the driver about her intoxication.

The driver told police that Baker would not get back in the car, so she left the area and called police.

Police said a car struck Baker after they received several calls about a person stumbling into the roadway. No charges are pending against the driver.

The crash happened around 4:30 a.m. on I-85 northbound near Highway 120 in Gwinnett County.
