CONYERS, Ga. — An overturned tractor-trailer turned into a not-so-eggscellent traffic mess on Interstate 20 eastbound in Rockdale County.
Triple Team Traffic says the accident happened near Exit 82 at Highway 138 just before 1 p.m. and shut down several lanes for hours.
Conyers Police said the tractor-trailer was carrying 39,000 pounds of eggs when the driver failed to maintain the lane and hit a Ram pick-up truck in one of the lanes.
A fuel spill from the accident caused clean-up efforts to extend the roadway closure. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident.
Iris Drive will be temporarily closed due to fuel spill from the interstate accident.
