ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Three workers were rescued by Alpharetta firefighters after quickly rising flood waters left them stranded while working on a construction project.
Officials say firefighters were called to an area behind North Point Community Church on North Point Pkwy. for a water rescue.

The trio of sewer construction workers were trying to complete their project when Big Creek began to overflow.
The water quickly rose to waist-deep levels. Two of the workers were able to wade through the water to safety.
The third worker had to climb to the top of their vehicle and wait on rescue crews.

Crews were able to able to get to the worker and help him through the waters to safety.
All three workers were evaluated on the scene and released. It is unclear if they were able to recover their vehicle.
