ROSWELL, Ga. — Police say a woman is dead after a man stabbed her at a child's birthday party in a Roswell shopping center Saturday night.
An investigator identified the victim as Margarita Cabrera-Maldonado, 42.
Police have identified the suspect as Pedro Navarro-Zelaya. They say he stabbed Cabrera-Maldonado multiple times before stabbing himself in the chest.
Navarro-Zelaya was taken the the hospital where he is in police custody. He is expected to recover from his injures.

Multiple police cars, officers and ambulances responded to the Old Lake Place shopping center on Alpharetta Street around 8 p.m. Police said the stabbing happened at Dalias Events.
Video shot by Channel 2 Action News showed young people crying and hugging each other in the parking lot and police tape strung across the business.
Channel 2's Lauren Pozen learned that the stabbing was domestic.
Police said Cabrera-Maldonado and Navarro-Zelaya were in a relationship that ended a year ago.
