RABUN COUNTY, Ga. — UPDATE: Brittany Stewart and her three children were found safe at a Walmart in Banks Crossing on Wednesday.

Authorities in north Georgia are searching for a 28-year-old woman and her three young children.

Rabun County Sheriff’s Office says Brittany Rebecca Stewart has been missing since March 23 with her boys, ranging in age from 7 months to 7 years.

Stewart is believed to be driving a 1999 maroon Ford Explorer with a GA tag RCP0743.

The search for Stewart has now widened to three states after the woman was spotted with her children in two separate locations.

The sheriff's office said Stewart has made contact with family by phone from an unknown location.

Sheriff Chad Nichols told Channel 2 Action News that they do not believe Stewart is in any danger to herself or her children, although her family has expressed concern about her mental state of mind.

Nichols said Stewart is not under psychiatric care nor is she taking any drugs related to her mental state.
