Showers, few storms could impact afternoon commute

ATLANTA — Heads up, drivers! Severe Weather Team 2 said another wet afternoon commute is in store for metro Atlanta.

Severe Weather Team 2 is tracking the timing of rain in your area on Channel 2 Action News starting at 4 p.m. 

Severe Weather Team 2 meteorologist Brad Nitz said showers and a few storms will develop as we head through the afternoon and into the evening.

"Pockets of heavier rain and even a few thunderstorms are developing this afternoon," Nitz said.

Severe Weather Team 2 said there's a chance of rain every day this week.

"A half inch to 1.5 inches of rain is possible today through Friday," Nitz said.

Some of the heaviest rain is expected in north Georgia and the mountains.
