ATLANTA - Storms developed across parts of metro Atlanta Wednesday afternoon, producing some damaging wind gusts and heavy rain.
A Severe Weather Thunderstorm Warning was issued for Paulding, Bartow, Cherokee, North Fulton and Cobb counties until 6:30 p.m. It has since expired.
Temperatures reached 95 degrees in Atlanta Wednesday afternoon.

A heat advisory was in effect for south metro Atlanta and much of central and south Georgia Wednesday. Highs reached the mid 90s with heat indices in the mid to upper 90s.
The chance for rain drops for the end of the week but the high temperatures will remain above normal.
