Police: Family lied about violent DeKalb Co. home invasion

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb police say a woman made up a  story about masked men holding her and her 6-year-old daughter at gunpoint Wednesday night.

Police said the little girl’s mother, Jordan Davis, is now in custody.

Davis said she was upstairs with her 6-year-old around 7 p.m. Wednesday when they heard a loud crash downstairs at their home on Seabass Road. She said five masked men threw a cinder block through her dining room window and came up the stairs.

Davis said they kicked her daughter in the side and held a gun to her head. She also said one robber had a large knife and told them to get inside a closet.

The DeKalb County Police Chief said the woman tried to take advantage of a giving community around this time of the year.

The woman and her husband are expected to be arrested Thursday afternoon.
