HOUR-BY-HOUR: Schools, businesses closed today

ATLANTA — Dozens of school districts across north Georgia are closed today due to the possible winter weather moving into north Georgia.

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms  announced in a news conference Monday morning that they would close state and city offices Tuesday.

HOUR-BY-HOUR UPDATES: 

7 a.m.: DeKalb County opened three warming shelters at 7 a.m. Tuesday. People can go to fire station 3 on North Clarendon Avenue in Avondale Estates, fire station 6 on Flat Shoals Road and fire station 15 on Flightway Drive in Chamblee. The centers will remain open through noon Friday.

6:40 a.m.: City of Milton says it will open at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday after reassessing weather conditions.

6 a.m.: Atlanta opened two emergency warming centers to get people out of the cold. The old Adamsville Recreation Center and Central Park Recreation Center are open to the public.

3 a.m.: Henry County Schools is dismissing students 2 hours early. Barrow County Schools remain open as of now.

11:15 p.m.: Gordon County Schools will be closed on Tuesday.

11 p.m.: White County Schools will be closed on Tuesday.

10:15 p.m.: Hapeville police say City of Hapeville offices, including the Municipal Court, will be closed Tuesday.

10:10 p.m.: Woodstock police say City Hall Administrative Offices will be closed Tuesday.

7:50 p.m.: Spelman College closes for Tuesday.

6:26 p.m.: City of Kennesaw closed Tuesday.

6:25 p.m.: Delta cancels 170 flights in and out of Atlanta on Tuesday.

6:06 p.m.: City of Clarkston offices will be closed Tuesday.

6:04 p.m.: City of Atlanta opening warming centers Tuesday:

6:02 p.m.: Sandy Springs city administrative offices and municipal court will be closed Tuesday.

5:56 p.m.: Gordon County Schools will be closed on Tuesday.

5:51 p.m.: Hall County Schools will be closed on Tuesday.

5:47 p.m.: Cartersville City Schools will be closed on Tuesday.

5:34 p.m.: DeKalb County is opening three warming centers tomorrow.

5:31 p.m.: DeKalb County government offices, senior centers, libraries and recreation centers will be closed Tuesday.

5:29 p.m.: Rabun County Schools are closed for Tuesday.

5:28 p.m.: Gwinnett County Public Schools closed Tuesday.

5:17 p.m.: Morehouse College will be closed on Tuesday

5:15 p.m.: Dawson County Schools will be closed Tuesday.

5:13 p.m.: Forsyth County Schools will be holding online learning day Tuesday:

5:04 p.m.: City of Chamblee offices will be closed Tuesday.

5:02 p.m.: All county and city government offices in Fannin County will be closed Tuesday.

4:52 p.m.: Floyd County Schools announce digital learning for Tuesday.

4:49 p.m.: Clayton State College will be closed on Tuesday.

4:44 p.m.: Zoo Atlanta will be closed on Tuesday.

4:43 p.m.: Paulding County Board of Commissioner's government facilities and courthouse will be closed on Tuesday.

4:35 p.m.: City of Dalton offices all closed on Tuesday.

4:29 p.m.: Dunwoody City Court and City Hall are closed Tuesday.

3:44 p.m.: Douglas County Courthouse and county offices are closed Tuesday.

1:57 p.m.: Reinhardt University will be closed on Tuesday.

1:55 p.m.: Bartow County schools will be closed on Tuesday.

1:50 p.m.: New warnings and advisories have been issued for dozens of counties in north Georgia from 3 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for Dade, Walker, Catoosa, Whitfield, Murray, Fannin, Gilmer, Union, Towns, Chattooga, Gordon, Pickens, Dawson, Lumpkin, White and Floyd counties.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Bartow, Cherokee, Forsyth, Hall, Polk, Paulding, Cobb, North Fulton, Gwinnett, Haralson, Carroll, Douglas, South Fulton, DeKalb, Heard, Coweta, Fayette and Clayton counties.

1:43 p.m.: Gwinnett Tech has closed for Tuesday

1:41 p.m.: Georgia Gwinnett College will be closed on Tuesday

1:39 p.m.: Cherokee County Schools have closed for Tuesday

1:33 p.m.: Lumpkin County Schools will be closed Tuesday.

1:21 p.m.: All campuses of the University of North Georgia are closed Tuesday

1:17 p.m.: CobbLinc bus service will not operate Tuesday.

1:15 p.m.: Carroll County Schools are closed for Tuesday.

1:10 p.m.: City of South Fulton offices and facilities are closed for Tuesday. Essential employees are expected to report to work during normal and/or emergency business hours.

12:49 p.m.: Douglas County Schools have closed for Tuesday.

12:47 p.m.: Carrollton City Schools have closed for Tuesday.

12:20 p.m.: Randolph County, Alabama schools will be closed Tuesday.

12:19 p.m.: Paulding County schools will be closed Tuesday.

12:17 p.m.: Georgia State campuses will be closed Tuesday due to winter weather.

12:13 p.m.: Union County Schools will be closed Tuesday.
