Marine dies weeks after brutal attack

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Channel 2 has learned that a Marine has died weeks after he was attacked at a party.

Two weeks ago, a cab driver reported hitting Zach Gamble, 34, in a parking lot at the Concord Apartment Complex in Smyrna.

But police believe Gamble's most serious injuries happened before the accident at a party where he was beaten.

The medical examiner plans to perform an autopsy.

Gamble's family has also started a Facebook page: "Justice for Zach Gamble."
