• Police search for gunmen in DeKalb shooting

STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. - A man is in critical condition after being shot in DeKalb County Friday afternoon.

DeKalb County police spokeswoman Mekka Parish said the shooting took place on Hairston Crossing Road in Stone Mountain.

Police said two men stormed into the home, demanded cash and opened fire striking a 44-year-old man.

Neighbors told Channel 2's Erica Byfield he was shot in the neck.

They also told Byfield the victim lived in the house with his mother and uncle.

"I'm sort of appalled that this has happened in my neighborhood because this is a really quiet neighborhood," Jamel Sutton said.

Police had a limited description of the men who were seen wearing white tank tops and shorts.
