Man shot outside Gwinnett Co. McDonald's

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A man was shot in the parking lot of a Gwinnett County McDonald's early Friday morning.

Gwinnett County police said Savan Sun, 29, was shot in the leg outside the location on Indian Trail Lilburn Road and Oakbrook Parkway just after midnight Friday.

Police interviewed several witnesses, who said a white, 90s-model Toyota sedan parking in the nearby QuickTrip parking lot, drove around the McDonald;s, and as it headed back to the QT, one of the passengers began shooting.

Witnesses told police the shooting appeared random. Sun and the friends he was with said they had never seent he vehicle and the did not have any type of confrontation. Sun was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police released surveillance images from the QT, which show the people of interest in the shooting.
