Man killed in officer-involved shooting

MABLETON, Ga. — Police say a man was shot and killed by an officer who was responding to a domestic call early Monday morning.

Channel 2's Darryn Moore spoke to officers at a home on Donna Street in Mableton. They said officers found a woman at the home when they arrived just after midnight, but the man had left. The woman told officers he was her estranged husband.

The man came back with a weapon and an officer opened fire, police said. The man died on the way to the hospital.
