Man injured after BB gun shooting spree

ROSWELL, Ga. — A Roswell man faces charges after he allegedly went on a BB gun shooting spree that left one man injured.

Oyeamon Norris is in the Fulton County jail facing aggravated assault and drug charges.

Pablo Garcia told Channel 2’s Mike Petchenik he was walking down Old Holcomb Bridge Monday night when he heard several loud pops, then felt a sting on his neck.

“It hit me and I tried to look who is it,” said Garcia, who told officers he first thought it was a rock.

Garcia said he flagged down a Roswell police officer parked nearby.

“I hear, like seven pops. I tried to look and I (crossed) the street and he (shot) me more,” Garcia said.

Roswell Police Officer Lisa Holland said as officers talked to Garcia they heard more popping noises and followed them into the Wood Creek Apartments, and to the unit belonging to Norris.

“They went and got a search warrant for the apartment and found a BB gun, a realistic looking handgun, but it was a BB gun and some drugs,” said Holland.

Police believe Norris was perched outside his apartment shooting at pedestrians and others along the busy street.

“It’s crazy,” said Garcia.  “Maybe he (shot) me in my eye or my ear or something.”
