Lawrenceville art studio offers up benefit for animal shelter

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Painting With A Twist in Lawrenceville is hosting an event benefiting  the Gwinnett County Animal Shelter.

On Tuesday July 15 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., guests will have the opportunity to paint their own pet whilst enjoying a fun evening at Lawrenceville's premier art studio. First timers need not worry, this is an art class for everybody. An expert instructor will take the class stroke by stroke through the process, and everybody's success is guaranteed.

Cost is $55 per guest and each participant will be creating a 16 x 20" artwork of their furry friend to take home.  Fifty percent of event sales will benefit Gwinnett County Animal Shelter directly.

Gwinnett County Animal Welfare & Enforcement is a competitor in the 2014 ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge. The $100K challenge is a contest in which 50 shelters across the country compete to break their own records saving the lives of animals.

Throughout the months of July and August 2014, each competing shelter must save more dogs, cats, puppies and kittens than they did during the same three months in 2013.
