Judge to rule on school bus camera violations

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A judge is set to rule any day now on whether tickets from school bus cameras are valid.

Channel 2 Action News saw a car passing a loading school bus on Franklin Road in Marietta Thursday.  The driver did not even slow down.

An attorney said in Cobb County the civil citations are being run from a private company out of Arizona.  He said most of the profits are going to that company instead of to taxpayers.

Another issue that has come up is that whoever the car is registered to is responsible for the ticket.  It doesn't matter if that person was actually driving during the violation.
