ATHENS, Ga. — Athens-Clarke police say an kidnapping report proved to be unfounded Friday.
Police were on the lookout for a black Dodge van related to a kidnapping on Firewood Street near the intersection of Whit Davis Road Thursday evening.
But officers made contact with the suspect vehicle and its driver and the kidnapping report was determined to be unfounded.
