Metro drying out a bit, but more rain coming tomorrow.

Showers, light rain moves across metro Atlanta. 

Metro Atlanta will dry will have some time to dry out a bit before our next round of rain moves through on Wednesday.

The evening will remain overcast. The rain that soaked the metro this morning is now gone, according to Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brad Nitz.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • There could be isolated showers during morning commute Wednesday
  • Heavy rain moves into South Georgia during the morning
  • That heavy rain will move up into the metro around lunchtime

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brian Monahan says the system that brought Tuesday’s rain is the same system that produced tornadoes in Tennessee. At least 22 people were killed.
