Hall County deputies arrest man wanted on rape, child molestation charges

HALL COUNTY, Ga. — The Hall County Sheriff’s Office put out a Be On the Lookout for Selvin Arnulfo Hernandez-Bonilla, 24, on Friday afternoon. He was wanted on charges of rape, child molestation, and several other crimes.

Less than 24 hours after the initial plea to the public, deputies were able to take Hernandez-Bonilla into custody.

Hernandez-Bonilla was arrested around 7:30 a.m. Saturday, quickly and without incident, in the 700 block of West Avenue in Gainesville.

Hall Sheriff’s Office does credit the quick capture in part to help from the community. Tips from citizens helped identify his location and lead to his subsequent arrest.

Hernandez-Bonilla’s complete list of charges from the initial Hall County Sheriff’s Office BOLO includes two counts of rape, three counts of child molestation, fleeing/attempting to elude, reckless driving, obstruction of an officer, and failure to maintain lane.

Hernandez-Bonilla is currently booked at the Hall County jail without bond.
