• Gwinnett police investigate shooting near DeKalb Co. line


    GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - Police are trying to sort out a shooting that crossed two counties early Monday morning.

    Gwinnett County police said it appears that a woman riding in a black Chrysler minivan was shot outside a shopping center in DeKalb County around 1 a.m.

    Police believe the woman was taken to gas station 2.5 miles away on Jimmy Carter Boulevard, in Gwinnett County.

    DeKalb County police said the woman's boyfriend, and driver of the minivan, told them the shooting was the result of a road rage incident. Police are investigating, but there were no reports of gunshots in the area.

    The woman was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center. Her condition is not known.
