DULUTH, Ga. — A 21-year-old man is facing some hefty fines after he was caught on camera driving along the sidewalks of Duluth’s town green.
Duluth police posted video on the Facebook page showing a silver car drive along the sidewalks of the green and hit several benches before getting lodged over the edge of a retaining wall.
Several people called 911 when they saw what was going on.

“We just had a car drive into the park and crash into a bunch of stuff,” one 911 caller said. “He’s in the middle of the park, on the fountain currently.”
Police arrested a 21-year-old, who remained at the scene. That person has been charged with DUI, failure to report striking fixed objects and failure to maintain lane.
Investigators said no one was hurt in the incident.
