GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — The family of a Gwinnett County woman, who has been missing for more than a week, is worried.
Police said Ceaulovone Milner, 45, was last seen March 28.
Milner left a friend's house and said she would call when she got to her home at the Indian Trail Apartments, but she never did, police said.
Police found her car parked near her apartment, but her cellphone and keys are missing.
“She loved her car and she was always in it, so it’s unusual for her car to be there and her keys not be there,” Milner’s sister Shalon Jones said.
Milner’s family gathered Tuesday afternoon, hoping to get answers.
Gwinnett County police are working the situation as a missing persons case, but investigators say because some blood was found in the apartment, and items may be missing, they plan to look for additional evidence inside Milner’s home.
“We are just trying to cover all of our bases and out of an abundance of caution, investigate this case to the best of our ability,” officer Deon Washington said.
Family members say Milner has never disappeared before, but she does have a medical condition.
“I think it’s possible that foul play has taken place, but we don’t have all the answers,” Jones said.
Detectives are searching Milner’s apartment for any clues as to what happened.
Channel 2’s Tony Thomas tried to get in and talk to neighbors at Milner’s apartment complex, but the management company immediately told him to leave.
