Gunman sought in double shooting

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga.,None — Lovejoy police are looking for a gunman who shot two people in the backyard of a home.

Officers sealed off part of Nicole Drive, where crime scene investigators were searching for clues. The shooting happened around midnight.

“The only information we got was several people were walking back through the buildings and some supposedly came out of one of the residences and started shooting,” police Sgt. Michael Gaddis said.

The victims were taken to the hospital. Gaddis said they were not in life-threatening-condition.

Police said they have a few witnesses who may be able to identify the shooter.
