Georgia man killed after he was shot by deputies in wild domestic fight

MACON — A Georgia man was killed after authorities said he crashed his car into patrol cars after a domestic dispute with his wife.

WGXA-TV said Bibb County deputies were called to a Macon home Tuesday evening. The sheriff said the couple were going through a divorce and 30-year-old Keith Young tied up his wife and took their three kids.

The woman was able to get herself free and ran to a friend’s home for help, authorities said.

Young later came back but deputies said not with the children. When he saw his wife was talking to authorities, the sheriff said Young sped at the deputies’ patrol cars and crashed into them.

A deputy in one of the vehicles had minor injuries, the sheriff said.

Deputies fired shots at Young, hitting him, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Young was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Fortunately, authorities said the three young children were at Young’s family member’s home. They were reunited with their mother.
