Gas issue leaves some Lawrenceville residents with no heat

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — The City of Lawrenceville has experienced some pressure problems in its gas system due to unusually high demand, officials said. The situation has left some natural gas customers in dangerously cold conditions with little or no heat.

Channel 2's Tony Thomas has been tracking the problem all day.

Crews are trying to restore pressure in the system. Officials told Thomas Tuesday service had been restored to some degree. Once the service is restored to everyone on the system, utility workers will be going door to door to make sure all the pilot lights are safely back on.
