Funeral planned for Cobb student who died in Belize

AUSTELL, Ga. — Funeral services will be held Saturday for Tomari Jackson, who died in a school trip to Belize earlier this month.
The North Cobb High School freshman was in a riverbank in Belize with other students and chaperons on Feb. 13 when he disappeared. Search crews later found his body.
Tomari was also a Boy Scout and knew how to swim, making it difficult for his family to understand his death.
Funeral services for Jackson will be held at Davis Strunpf Funeral Home in Austell at 11 a.m.
