• Fire forces evacuation of College Park apartment building

    COLLEGE PARK, Ga. - A  College Park apartment building was evacuated due to a fire Thursday morning.

    The fire broke out at 2800 Camp Creek Parkway around 4 a.m.

    The College Park Fire Department said the fire was put out but at least one unit in the building was damaged and two others sustained smoke and water damage.

    Firefighters checked the building for hot spots before letting residents back in.
