• Fire breaks out at Gwinnett pizza shop


    GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - Firefighters rushed to a pizza shop in Gwinnett County.

    A fire started in the kitchen of Buna Pizza Cafe on Five Forks Trickum Road in Lawrenceville. A passerby reported seeing smoke in the area. Firefighters arrived shortly after midnight Tuesday.

    The fire caused heavy damage to the kitchen area.

    "Luckily, firefighters were able to put (it) out quick and prevent it from spreading to other business,” Gwinnett County Fire spokesman Tommy Rutledge said.

    The restaurant was closed when it happened. 

    Firefighters are still investigating the cause of the fire.
