ATLANTA — Police are searching for the shooter who opened fire on a driver on a busy Atlanta road.
Atlanta police said the shooting happened early Wednesday morning somewhere on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway in northwest Atlanta.
The 37-year-old driver told police he was shot, then ended up at a ramp along Interstate 20 near Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard.

Police said the single bullet struck the trunk of the car, entered the passenger compartment and hit the man in the back.
The driver was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in serious condition but is listed as stable.
Authorities are still searching for the shooter.
